Celebrating Life and Health with Wine

997852_19121557251311A friend of mine last year was out of work for a heart valve replacement. Not only is he a coworker but a good friend.  Tomorrow he will be doing a Heart Association walk and is raising money.  What better way to support a good cause because part of a good heart and health wine has been proven to aid in that.  As fellow Texans I ask for help in supporting my coworker in his event to raise money for a good cause.  No matter how much or little you can give each dollar helps.  His story is amazing as he and I are drivers for UPS.  The work is hard and long and to recover and come back doing this job is a statement in its self.  Here is his official link and he has under 12 hours left to get donations.  Thank you fellow Texas wine drinkers and wine drinkers alike.

”Celebrating Life”
This has been my saying since last September. It was one year ago today, September 1st 2011, that I had my second open heart surgery. It was my second valve replacement and hopefully my last. I was only 9 years old when I had my first surgery and I was way too young the realize the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Now at the age of 31 and going through my second surgery it opened my eyes and I know it is not only for me to take care of myself. It is important to my wife, my family, and my friends. I feel like I am getting a second chance at taking care of my body and another opportunity to do it right. Cardiac Rehabilitation was my first step into my new life of health and wellness.
I had a great experience and met some wonderful people who I am still friends with now. This class not only helped me get better physically but mentally. I learned many ways to live a healthier lifestyle. I also learned I was killing myself at my job and now I know how to be better at my job and not destroy my body/heart. I have passed this knowledge on to my coworkers so they also can take care of themselves. There are many simple things we can do to our bodies that help so much, we just need the knowledge from people close to us, because that is when we listen, when we hear it from people who care. Come join us next Saturday or an event closer to you. SPREAD THE WORD!!! We want our loved ones around, we want a lifetime of health and happiness. If you can just donate something from your time, your caring, or some money, help someone live longer and enjoy the time with their loved ones. Lets all help fight cardiovascular disease together. Thank you for your time.
Imagine the impact if we reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20% by 2020! I’m joining the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk to promote physical activity to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Please support me in helping to reach this lifesaving goal by giving a donation today! Thanks in advance for your support.
